Members

In order to be considered a Member of Inspired Dance Academy, a parent and/or guardian must sign and agree to the Contract Agreement, the Liability Waiver, Registration Form, and pay the non-refundable annual registration fee and recital fee. By doing so, this secures your child’s spot in the class(es) you register for and allows your child to participate in both dance recitals.

Registration Fee:

A registration fee is required to reserve a spot in class and offset administrative costs. Fees are $40 for the first child, $60 for two children, and $75 for three or more children. All registration fees are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERRABLE. ALL FEES are due at the time of registration.

Recital Fees and Costume Fees:

All dancers are responsible for a $20 Recital Fee for 1st semester (AUG-DEC) and $85 Recital Fee for 2nd semester (JAN-MAY). This fee is to be paid with Fall/Spring Fees.  This fee is per family which secures your child’s spot in the fall and spring and also  includes one IDA recital program (not including purchasable ads) for a discounted price of $8 per family and discounted admission price of $5 for one  parents or guardian to for the Spring Recital. Costume fees are introduced at a later date and are determined by which class(es) each dancer participates in. For every week (7 days after the first late day) your fees are late, there is a $10 late fee added to your account.

Tuition Payment:

Tuition is due the first day of every month. Payment after the 1st will be subjected to a late fee. See “Late Fee” below. Checks should be payable to Diamond Washington. Please put your child’s name on the bottom left side of your check. We accept Cash, Check, The Cash App (please specify your child’s full name and what the payment is for),  and Debit or Credit Cards. All Debit/ Credit Card payments require a 5% transaction fee. We are not responsible for any postdated checks. Our “The Cash App” username is: $DiamondWashington1.

Monthly Tuition:

All class prices are the same for each member. No discount/refund will be applied to any monthly tuition. We will follow the MCPSS calendar for severe weather and holidays. If we have to close our studio for severe weather, we will schedule a makeup for all classes on that day. We will not prorate tuition for holidays as some months we will have 3 weeks and other months we will have 5 weeks. We will not charge extra for the months there are 5 weeks of classes. We do not prorate any tuition for sickness, holidays, or missed for personal reasons. Please refer to the class schedule to match prices with your child’s class(es). All tuition is NON-REFUNDABLE!!

**Please make all checks payable to Diamond Washington**

Late Fees:

A $10.00 late fee will be assessed to the account at 12:00AM on the 7th day of each month. This late fee is automatically added to your balance and will be strictly enforced.  Note, if your child is brought to class after the 21st of the month and you have an excessive amount pending on your account, he or she will not be able to participate in class. Full tuition payment, which includes the late fee, must be made in order for the student to return to class. On accounts 30 days past due, appropriate legal action will be taken on behalf of IDA to collect payment. If any fee is 7 days past due, there is a $10 late fee added every 7 days.

*Tuition is non- refundable. There is no reduction for holidays, sicknesses, or missed lessons as some months have an extra week for which you are not charged.*

NSF Fees:

There will be a $30.00 NSF fee added to any returned check. If there is an occurrence of two returned checks, all future transactions must be made in cash. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Class Withdrawal:

If a student needs to withdraw from class before the term is out, the responsible party must complete a drop form. IDA requires that our studio be informed before the first of the next month before dropping so that the dancer’s account can be adjusted correctly. We do not allow dancers to drop/withdraw in the middle of a month to avoid prorating fees and tuition. This form will ensure that the student’s account is adjusted properly. If proper notification is not received, the student’s account will incur monthly charges that will need to be paid as statements are sent.  If payment is not received, appropriate action will be taken on behalf of IDA/Planet Gymnastics.

Classes

Parents, siblings, or friends are not allowed in classes. This causes disruption to the students and the instructor. Please do not arrive more than 5-10 mins prior to your scheduled class time. The scheduled observation time for each class is the last five minutes of each class. Dancers will not be allowed entry into classes if they arrive later than 10 minutes after the class starts. This causes disruption to the dancers and instructors. The dancer also misses important warmup/stretch time to allow his or her body to be thoroughly prepared for class and eliminate the risk of injuries. Our studio doors will be locked 10 minutes after classes start.

Drop-In

If your child wants to attend one class as a drop-in with no monthly tuition commitment. All drop-ins are $20. You must notify the instructor of the class your child wants to attend at least 24hrs before the drop-in will be permitted.

Solos

All solos require a $100 solo fee which holds your dancers spot in recital, cut music, and choreography. Costume fees will range from $50 to $100 depending on the genre of the dance your child performs. Dancers must also attend at least one 30 minute – 1 hour private lesson each week to practice solo. [30min = $25; 45min = $30; 1hr = $40]. Please see your instructor for scheduling.

Fundraisers

All fundraisers are MANDATORY for every dancer at IDA unless otherwise instructed by IDA staff. Please make sure to thoroughly read information sheets and/or call the studio during office hours for more information concerning fundraisers.

Conduct

Proper respect for the instructors, staff, facility, curriculum, and fellow students is REQUIRED of all students, parents, siblings, on or off-site. No bullying of any kind will be tolerated. If IDA instructors are notified at any point and time of this kind of behavior, proper disciplinary actions will be taken immediately.  When participating in a studio event, performance, out-of-town excursion, or when wearing the studio logo, respectable behavior is as important as your ability to dance.  Remember you are representing Inspired Dance Academy and our facility Planet Gymnastics everywhere you go.

COVID-19 Form

All dancers are required to sign a COVID-19 form at registration. Please thoroughly read the rules and responsibilities for parents, dancers, and instructors. We seek to make sure everyone is safe during this time.

COVID-19 STUDIO RULES

To help ensure the health and safety of our dancers, parents, and instructors, please read through the following responsibilities and rules so that everyone’s expectations are clear and we are all working together to keep everyone safe.

Our Responsibility

We will do our best to provide your children with a clean, daily sanitized facility to ensure their safety. We will limit contact with dancers for at least 6 weeks. We will enforce 6-feet social distancing between everyone including dance instructors, dancers, and parents. We will require everyone to wash/sanitize their hands or use personal sanitizer as often as possible. We will often emphasize the importance of not touching your face.

Your Responsibility

We ask that everyone wear a mask when entering the building and seating area. Dancers may remove masks before entering the dance studio if he or she would like to. We ask that parents make sure your dancer(s) understands the importance of washing their hands, not touching their face, not sharing food or drinks, and avoiding close contact with other dancers. If your child or any of your family members show symptoms of illness, we ask that you notify the studio and keep your child at home. We would prefer if parents drop off their child for classes in order to limit overcrowding. However, limited seating will be available for parents with social distancing requirements in place. We are also working on streaming live footage of classes that will be viewable from your cars and homes.

Rules for Parents

  • Masks are REQUIRED for everyone that enters Planet Gymnastics and Inspired Dance Academy

  • Check your child’s temperature before coming to/entering studio

  • If your child is sick or has a temperature above normal, please keep he or she at home and consult a physician

  • If possible, drop off your dancer(s) for classes. However, we will have a LIMITED seating area

  • Please do not enter the building more than 5-10 mins prior to your dancer’s scheduled class time

Rules for Dancers

  • Do not touch your face

  • No high-fiving, hugging, or close contact of any kind
